Remove BSL in Miami Dade!!
Watch the truth behind BSL
Miami Coalition Against Breed Specific Legislation was founded in October 2008 by directors, Dahlia Canes and Edel Miedes. They joined forces with a group of professional individuals who shared the same passion against breed discrimination. Together they have been working tirelessly to have the current BSL (Breed Specific Legislation) ordinance removed from Miami Dade County. This legislation prevents Miami Dade residents from owning American Pit Bull Terriers, Staffordshire Terriers and Staffordshire Bull Terriers. This law was first introduced in 1989 and has never been challenged until now. This law has contributed to the unfair treatment and euthanasia of countless loving dogs who have been pulled from their homes solely based on their breed. As a result, dog lovers, activists, veterinarians, and organizations from all parts have joined together to eradicate this unjust law. Your generous support will help us come closer to our goal of preserving the lives of countless victimized canines
We are currently in need of funds for a long legal battle that we are preparing. We have a wonderful lawyer that will be representing us pro-bono; however, the filing fees and leg work can be costly. It is for this reason that financial support is critical in order to file and win this case. We ask that you join us in this crusade so that together we can fight for the right to own our breed of choice.
